🇬🇧 Anton Carlier (BE), DO, MSc (Ost.), is a physiotherapist and osteopath with more than 25 years of experience in physiotherapy, manual therapy and osteopathy. A central focus of his work lies in sports and performance. In his clinical practice he works with both amateur and professional athletes, combining classical osteopathic principles with approaches to prevention, rehabilitation and performance optimisation.
His professional background includes more than twelve years of clinical experience in spinal rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy. From this foundation, osteopathy became a natural extension of his therapeutic approach.
Anton graduated as a DO from the International Academy of Osteopathy in Ghent in 2013 and completed his Master of Science in Osteopathy at the University of Applied Sciences Tyrol in Austria in 2017.
In clinical practice he integrates approaches such as osteopathic techniques according to Frank De Bakker, Applied Kinesiology and visceral osteopathy. His main areas of expertise are sports and cranial osteopathy.
From 2013 to 2025 he taught as a lecturer at the International Academy of Osteopathy, including in Copenhagen and Cairo. His master’s thesis examined the relationship between previous cranial trauma and the risk of later non-contact injuries in soccer players.
Anton runs his own practice in Ghent, where he lives with his family as the father of three daughters. Sport also plays an important role in his personal life: he is a former Belgian cup winner and two-time national champion in futsal and remains active as a freeride skier, alpinist and martial arts enthusiast.
